Blaze Networks delivers a private network to Rainbows Hospice for Children, with SD-WAN, site-wide high-performance WiFi, and secure connectivity, ensuring dependable access to essential clinical and care services.
Blaze Networks have provided Rainbows Children’s Hospice with a fully managed private network (based on Fortinet SD-WAN and Fortinet Security Fabric platforms) across the Rainbows Hospice and retail sites, including a new wireless network.
With the primary goal of boosting support for clinical and care services being achieved, the network’s improved cybersecurity measures have also enabled more demonstrable compliance with security policies, resulting in substantially reduced insurance premiums.
The solution includes:
- A fully managed private network based on Fortinet SD-WAN and Fortinet Security Fabric platforms. This was designed, implemented, and is fully supported by Blaze.
- Migration of all on-premise services to Blaze Cloud.
- Configuration of an integrated security fabric, including firewalls, WiFi integration, switches, and Internet of Things (IoT) elements such as door access, CCTV, and EV charge points.
- New Wireless Infrastructure including re-cabling and new access point positioning based on detailed wireless surveys conducted by Blaze
- Unified Threat Management (UTM) security is provided by the Blaze Private Core Network.
- Direct link to the NHS SystmOne database via a dedicated leased line.
