Cyber Essentials Plus Certification

Further assurance of the level of Blaze’s own cybersecurity protection is provided by our being Cyber Essentials Plus certified. As such, not only do Blaze have cyber-secure systems and procedures in place, but we also have had this independently verified through on-site audits by external professional auditors.
ISO 27001 Certification
Providing further confirmation of Blaze Networks’ commitment to cybersecurity, Blaze have achieved formal certification (by BSI) of meeting the ISO 27001:2022 Standard for Information Security Management Systems.
Achieving this certification provides additional assurance to Blaze customers on our cybersecurity practices, and has been useful in formalising many of the processes and procedures that we have been following on a business-as-usual basis for years.
The ISO 27001 certification follows extensive auditing by BSI, which is widely regarded as operating the most rigorous certification scheme in the UK.
NHS Digital DSPT Exceeds Certification
Blaze Networks has achieved the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) certification, and been awarded an Exceeds rating. This certification demonstrates our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data security and protection for our customers who are in the healthcare industry and all who use our services.

ProCook
What they do
ProCook, a leading direct-to-consumer specialist kitchenware brand, designs, sources and sells its own-branded ranges of products through over 60 retail stores across the UK and through an eCommerce / home delivery operation of growing importance. ProCook’s retail operations are supported by a major distribution centre and a Store Support Centre which houses a large support team.
Blaze Networks have provided ProCook with a co-managed private network, incorporating Fortinet’s SD-WAN technology and Security Fabric platform. The network comprises of a fully integrated technology stack covering firewalls, switches, and wireless infrastructure across ProCook’s retail store, depot and office locations. Professional project management and onsite engineering provided by Blaze ensured a smooth deployment across the retail stores and central sites.

Head of IT | ProCook
The challenge
ProCook engaged Blaze to introduce a nation-wide SD-WAN network as a highly cost-effective way of enabling the broader ProCook business to achieve increased operational agility, resilience, and cyber security. In addition to the ProCook retail shops, this included a new high-tech distribution centre with complex wireless needs, and a new head office – all of which needed a high-performance, reliable, and efficient-to-manage network solution.
It was particularly important to ProCook that the new managed service provider would deliver a higher level of service and technical capability to the ProCook IT team, with better responsiveness than the business had experienced with its previous legacy network.
The solution
A co-managed private network was created based on Fortinet’s SD-WAN technology and Security Fabric platform.
All ProCook locations are directly connected back to Blaze Networks’ secure Private Core Network, with no traffic going over the public internet, and Blaze Cloud is used to host ProCook servers and cybersecurity services. Online backup and disaster recovery services are provided by BlazeVault, based on Veeam technology, and this provides a full disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) solution to ProCook.
Each retail store has a SD-Branch solution, based on a FortiGate firewall (sized appropriately to the location and available connectivity) and an integrated switch and wireless infrastructure, to create a faster, intent-based network where changes can be made quickly and easily.
AI (Artificial Intelligence) is used from FortiGuard to help combat virus outbreaks or ransomware using IOC (Indications of Compromise) licenses.
Routes Healthcare
What they do
Routes Healthcare offers complex care packages for people with long-term health conditions and end of life care in the north of England. Health and Social Care services are provided in people’s own homes and communities, 365 days a year by over 1,000 staff, leveraging 18 service centres and a large recruitment and training hub in Rochdale.

The challenge
Routes Healthcare needed to update its IT infrastructure to better enable change and growth in the organisation, to counter the general increase in cybersecurity threats, and to support the increased use of SaaS platforms and cloud services.
Because of the nature of the services which Routes’ carers provide, considerable importance is placed on the confidentiality of customer information, so comprehensive cybersecurity was a key requirement (Blaze Networks has been certified as Exceeding NHS Digital’s DSTP requirements and is ISO 27001 certified).
The solution
Blaze provided a more secure infrastructure which has an enhanced level of cybersecurity and automation, able to keep pace with emerging threats and AI-driven attacks.
Provision of services to remote locations and mobile workers has been made much easier and a secure, capable, and resilient remote access infrastructure has been provided.
Cybersecurity has been enhanced by the network design and by a UTM system providing antivirus, content filtering, multi-factor authentication, and web filtering.
The unified security and SD-WAN technology stack covers all firewalls, switches, and wireless infrastructure, tightly integrated across all Routes Healthcare sites. Professional project management by Blaze ensured a smooth deployment across all locations.
